Time for both training will be at 1130am on thurs and 1000am in Sat.

Please take note that since it's a school hoilday all Sat training will be conducted in the morning instead of 330pm.

Breaking News

To all members and ex-members of Ta'Moko Lions RFC

We lost two of my dear friends and players to a road accident on Sat. Syafiq and Afiq both died in a car accident.

We would like to send our deepest condolences to both of their families for losing their child.

It was indeed a great pleasure for as coaches to have coach them and also played along with them for touch and some games.

To Sayfiq: Thanks for all the funny moment that you have given to the club and the players. With your singing and your funny jokes. And all your rendition of songs and a video chip that was done in Yishun with Bryan, Matthew and Nick. That was really funny. And also the times we had a Malaysia with the club.

To Afiq: You are so fast that we could hardly even catch up with you from time to time. Awesome tries you made in Malaysia for the clubs and also lots of goods tries in your playing career.

Guys, Rest In Peace and may you have a good after life.

Fond memories will always be with all of us.

Norton Rose Singapore International's 10s Report

Tamoko Lions RFC enter two teams, under 14s and under 18s.

It was a long and wet day on Sat.

Both team came in around 12noon and started warming up.

The under 14s had a very good outing this year. Coming in as Plate Champions 2009. Well done boys.

The first game the under 14's face Royal Selangor, coming top in both forwards and backline game. The boys won 3 tries to 1.

Second game we face Centuars RFC, going in all ready for a hard hitting game the boys did very well, however, we lost to them 2 tries to 1.

Knowing that a win or a draw is what we need to go into the plate tournament the boys played very well against a local school Damai. Scoring first and leading most of the way till the last couple of mins. A lack of concentration lead in a try and coming out drawing with Damai Secondary School.

The boys face Montfort Secondary( a power house in rugby for the North area of Singapore). The boys was all fired up and ready to take on them. Out beating Montfort in all departments the boys came up as winner 5 tries to zero.

Final game, Tanglin Rugby Football Club. Boys was all out to win. From the start of the game till the end the boys did very well, defending well. A try came in the 5 minutes into the game. Boys was angry for more tries but it did not come our way. Defending Tanglin phrase of attack, we held them up and the final whistle came. The boys was really happy and was all jumping for joy.

Final result Ta'moko Lions RFC 1- Tanglin RFC 0

ON the other side the under 18s had a really tough time. With not enough players we had to use some of the under 14s boys to play for the seniors.

First game, JJC we lost 1-2. Having losing the first game the boys was all really to play hard.

The second game was with South Island School(Hong Kong), the boys was in their half most of the time. A try was about to come from Nas, with came a hard hiiting forward and a pass from Md. Noh, but however, we knock on. Having no reserve at all, the boys was still hanging n till the final mintues. Losing 3 tries to zero.

A decision was made before the thrid game to pull out. IN the stafey of all players we decided to pull out from the tournament. It was sad but we will come back next year with a bang.

Great job to all players and coaches.

Hi All

First of all club training on Sat as per normal. 3pm at Farrer park. And tue training at CCAB resume.

Secondly we are recuiting players for the Under's 20. If you have friends that are keen to play for the club please bring them down. So that we could start training as a team.

Thirdly, we are also recuriting players for under 15's. As there will be a UNder 15's tournamnet coming up. So any players that have friend that fall in this age group please bring them along too. THe tournamnet will be on 16th May 2009

Last but not least, in order for all players to have their kits which we intend to make from Canterbury, the club is running a fund rasier. The event is as follows:

Guys and gals, get ready for a carwash to be held on 18, 19 Apr. We will be washing cars for cash at East Coast Park carpark F. Details and coordinating instructions will be revealed this coming saturday during training. So make sure you guys come. This carwash is organised for the purpose of earning cash for our club. So the more effort we put in now, the less we have to fork out of our own pockets. So I hope we have everybody's cooperation and support. All in all, it's going to be a day filled with hard work, but definitely fun and laughter as well.

The Armed Forces Career Exhibition '09 (ACE 09)

Pleae take some time to read about the event:

The Armed Forces Career Exhibition '09 (ACE 09) will take place from 27 Feb to 1 Mar, between 11am and 9pm at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, next to the fountain. Do visit if you are interested in finding out more about a career in the SAF! Representatives from Army, Navy and Air Force will be present to explain the various careers on offer and answer any queries.

Coach Kelvin and Coach Sean will be present at the Army Maintenance & Engineering Support booth at the following times:
